We rescue the ill, injured and unfortunate.   Sound Pet Animal Rescue and Referral (SPARR) is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer-run organization concerned with the welfare of dogs. SPARR started its rescue in late 2005. We rescue stray and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters place them in caring foster homes and then adopt them into loving, life-long homes.   The medical mission of our rescue is the one we are most proud of.  No pet is turned away due to medical reasons.  Regional shelters call us when they have a fantastic pet with no chance of being adopted due to illness or injury.
